Memories....

If you have any memories you’d like to share, please send them along.   Bill has volunteered to be first!   Hugs, Carolyn and Lynnie

Thanks Lynnie!!!  Where has the time gone to???  I can remember just the other day running around Huntington Beach and working on my tan!??  Working at the carwash with Kob and Dwight, Kob and I working at a nursery delivering flowers, working at Republic Steel, getting into trouble with Mulder and Lumpy, Pliske and Stretch!!  Going by Jackie White’s house and seeing her dad’s beehives, having a ‘crush’ on Dee Maxfield, Kob and I watching Chuck Miller and Sandy McNeil making out at the Bay Way!!!  John Wulff, Buddy Short, Bo, Kob and I all playing football!!  We ought to write a book about our growing up!!!   Seems like the time went by too quickly, or I was sleeping too much.  It was amazing when Shirley and I moved to California we moved into The Normandy Villa Apartments in Sunnyvale and there were Bo, Van, and Bob Hoard too.  Those must be the miracles they talk about in A Course In Miracles because they can’t be coincidences!!!  It’s a great life and great memories……………

God Bless you all……………

Love,

Bill

August 2008

Dear Carolyn & Lynnie:  I basically went to Cleveland/Bay to see my parent’s gravesite and to discuss with them the high points and low points of my life.  I also wanted to let them know that I loved and missed them and that I appreciate, now, what sacrifices they made for us kids. While there I thought that I would also see Mrs. Kobie (Grace) since she and Mr. Kobie (Clarence) along with Doug and Arla were my next door neighbors when I was 5 years old. I was lucky enough to find Arla visiting her mother and got a picture of us!! I also got together with Doug and went to dinner at Pier W in the Winton Place!!! Great dinner and memories and I got Doug to commit to visiting me in San Jose sometime next year. Mrs. Kobie and Arla remembered the little store on Columbia that we all walked to, to get cigarettes (for our parents), milk, and candy.  It was in the duplex house (which is still there) right by the tracks!! I wasn’t crazy!!!  Cheryl and I went to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and got to see a little of the Air Show that was going on also.  My brother Mark and I got together for dinner and went to Little Italy and a tour of Case Western Reserve and that area.  I also got a chance to spend an hour with Buddy Short who I went to Culver with and grew up with. I remember working with him at the Hanna Theatre when we were both about 15!!!  Other than what I’ve stated, we just drove around and went to Huntington Beach, Bearden’s (and had a Bearden Burger), and visited our old house (28815) on Wolf Road.  Great Memories for a 4 day visit!!! Sorry I missed seeing Cliff, Jody, and many of the other people still in Bay!  Maybe next time!!! Hope you enjoy the pictures!!!  Where has the time gone??

Love you guys,

Bill
